What We Do
Providing comprehensive support across three main ministries.
New Caring & Sharing Thrift Store
Our thrift store serves as the economic engine that funds all our outreach ministries. We offer community members an affordable place to shop for clothing, furniture and household goods.
All merchandise comes from generous donations, which helps keep usable products out of local landfills. The proceeds from our sales go directly back into funding our food pantry and community lunch programs.
Neighborhood Sharing Pantry
This local food pantry allows our neighbors to make sure they have the nutritious items their families need. We provide fresh produce from our community garden, shelf-stable foods and care cards that can be redeemed at New Caring & Sharing.
We also supply propane vouchers from October to April, and free durable medical equipment to those requiring assistance.
The Open Table Community Lunch
We offer a warm, welcoming space where anyone can enjoy a hot meal twice a week. Our community lunch can also be a place for social interaction and relationship building.
Through sharing food, we hope to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the Salida community. We meet people where they are, providing uplifting conversation and physical nourishment to our neighbors.
