Current Hours of Operation:
Thrift Store: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.
Thrift Store Donations:
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (at the dock in the rear of the building – alley between 3rd and 4th Streets.) 10 am to 1 pm.
Sanctuary Soup Kitchen:
Hot meals served
Tuesday and Thursday, 10 -1
Resource Assistance Center:
Food Pantry and Resource assistance open Tuesday and Thursday, 10 -1
Thrift Store
The Caring and Sharing Thrift Store serves our community by providing slightly used clothing, furniture, home goods and more. Our community generously donates their no longer wanted items! Our thrift store is the best little thrift store in the Rockies. Financial resources acquired by the Thrift Store provide funding for employing members of our community, providing resource and assistance to anyone in need.
Resource Assistance Center
Our Resource and Assistance Center houses a Food Bank but provides essential assistance to anyone in need. We have a large inventory of medical devices that can be borrowed by anyone who requires them. Through funding from the Thrift Store and the generosity of community members and local businesses, we can assist with propane purchases, bus tickets, medical aid, and court fees. (All assistance is evaluated case by case.)
Sanctuary Soup Kitchen
The Sanctuary Soup Kitchen provides a hot meal from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday and Thursday.
The Soup Kitchen is also a common space used for human service programs. We partner with Sol Vista, the Chaffee County DMV, and several Christian Churches to meet basic emotional, spiritual and physical needs
